Event Marketing & Logistics
As a marketing specialist I use strategic communication, creative promotion, and operational coordination to ensure that events are well-organized, well-attended, and aligned with brand goals.
Work History
While I was a student at the Univeristy of Washington Tacoma, I was a Student Assistant working at the Milgard School of Business Centers of Excellence for the Center for Leadership & Social Responsibility (CLSR).
A center that creates and promotes opportunities for students and community members to learn about leadership and social responsibility.
At the Center for Leadership and Social Responsibility, I supported the successful execution of high-impact events through strategic marketing, creative promotion, and operational coordination. My work ensured that each event effectively reflected the Center’s mission of fostering ethical, inclusive, and community-based leadership.
Events
For each event I did the following to ensure the marketing and logistics were seamless.
Event Marketing Strategy
Designed and implemented promotional campaigns to increase awareness and participation in CLSR events.
Created multi-channel event marketing plans, integrating social media, print, data-driven storytelling, and community connections to maximize visibility and registration.
Creative Content & Engagement
Produced event-specific content digital flyers, countdown posts, and guest speaker spotlights, to build anticipation and engagement leading up to major events.
Promoted events as opportunities for growth, connection, and impact, encouraging diverse participation.
Event Coordination & Logistics
Assisted with event planning, scheduling, and on-site logistics, ensuring smooth operations from setup to post-event wrap-up.
Supported guest management including registration, check-in, food set-up, and follow-up communication, to create a welcoming and professional experience.
Welcome Days
The annual event held to introduce students to the programs offered by centers and Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) at the University of Washington Tacoma.
I represented the CLSR at a booth that provided program flyers and “swag” which were branded CLSR items.
For this event, I did the following as well to enhance target audience awareness and participation in programs.
In-Person Marketing
Designed and created promotional print material to hand out and engage with students.
As the liason for the CLSR, I used face-to-face marketing skills to increase awareness and participation in programs and events.
Branding & Storytelling
Used authentic stories and testimonials from past participants to connect audiences with the CLSR’s mission.
Crafted core campaign narratives that emphasized empowerment, collaboration, and impact, showing how CLSR programs develop socially responsible leaders.
